Sorti l'année dernière chez Profound Lore Records, Venerable de Ken Mode ressortira mi-octobre en vinyle chez Throatruiner Records (As We Draw, Plebeian Grandstand). Le groupe est actuellement en studio avec Matt Bayles (Botch, Mastodon, Isis...) pour l'enregistrement de son cinquième album. Et pour les curieux, "Venerable" est en streaming intégral sur Bandcamp.

Une heure et quart de musique d'une densité assez remarquable, entre post-core érodant, sludge apocalytique, doom des cavernes, post-rock discret et black-metal méphistophélique, Zatokrev livre un disque-somme formant la clef de voûte d'une discographie qui mériterait un autre sort que celui qu'on lui a trop souvent réservé. Une oeuvre majeure du genre (ou des genres) ? Pas tout à fait mais...
