Aaaah le mois d'avril qui ne tient qu'à un fil, où il a fait une chaleur à crever, pas une goutte de pluie (flippant...). Des concerts en pagaille, dans des squats (je recommande la mirroiterie à Paris), dans d'autres salles plus "officielles" (Suicidal Tendencies à l'EMB, Melvins à la Maroquinerie). L'occasion de dégoter les albums d'Aplha Safari et d'Unfold lors de vacances en province... Et surtout de s'écouter de la bonne zic!!!

d'ailleurs pour ceux que ça intéresse, on peut trouver du Superbutt à 2 € à Gibert pas cher, rue de l'école de médicine.

Le dernier Sparta est loin d'être le meilleur, virage à 180° dans "Threes"...
les 2 premiers sont bcp mieux, "Porcelain" (le 2eme) est peut etre mon préféré....

Sparta c'est pas si basique que ca ... ca fait plus power-rock et beaucoup plus facile d'écoute que MV mais c'est un bon groupe dans le genre

C'est vrai que c'est plus difficile de s'immerger dans la musique de The Mars Volta mais une fois dedans c'est vraiment très plaisant, je trouve.
Pour moi, ce groupe réussi vraiment à créer une atmosphère particulière.
Je pense notamment à leur deuxième album: Frances the mute. A certains moments, on entend des gens rigoler dans un bar et il y a même des prises de sons de forêt équatoriales semble t-il ( les grenouilles sont même créditées sur le livret "the coqui of Puerto Rico"...).Le fait que l'album forme un tout participe aussi à ça à mon avis.
Leurs vidéos sont intéressantes aussi comme celle de "televators" ou celle de "the widow" qui font appel à un imaginaire très particulier.
Leur dernier album me semble un peu plus accessible.
