Heat from a DeadStar > Biographie / Dans la chaleur de la nuit
Fruit de la rencontre de deux musiciens (le guitariste P.Parker et le bassiste P.Gerber), Heat From a DeadStar est un duo dont la démarche musicale est de découvrir des sonorités nouvelles. Un premier enregistrement, un maxi 4 titres éponyme, est enregistré fin 2004 et se voit distribué aussi bien en Europe aux USA. Janvier 2005, Heat From a DeadStar franchi une nouvelle étape de sa courte carrière musicale en devenant un trio à la suite de l'arrivée au sein de la formation, de R.Schtark, batteur de son état.
Dès lors, le trio Heat From a DeadStar peut approfondir son travail, notamment sur les rythmiques et s'envole au printemps 2005 pour Londres et le Berry Street Studio afin d'y enregistrer un deuxième EP, sous la direction de Kevin Porée. Intitulé, ce second effort intitulé Lighten our minds sort au mois d'août 2005. Deux ans plus tard, le groupe accélère les choses en enregistrant un troisième EP (The Lighthouse (2007), puis un premier album long-format dans la foulée... (2008).

The band will record the first album in January 08 in Chicago, at the Electrical Audio studio (Steve Albini's studio) with Bob Weston (Shellac, Mission of Burma) as the sound engineer and Rick Harte as the producer.
This album will be released by the legendary Ace of Hearts label.
