Alors que Mercury Rev annonce la sortie (dans les bacs) de son nouvel album studio Snowflake midnight pour le 29 septembre, le groupe offrira (en téléchargement gratuit) dès cette même date, un deuxième opus intitulé Strange attractor. Enfin, les américains entament dans un mois une tournée européenne dont les passages en France sont limités au 25 novembre à L'Elysée-Montmartre de Paris et le lendemain à Dijon (La Vapeur).
